Fun fact I wish I knew earlier: Thailand law says keep your original passport on you. If you’re stopped, only the real passport counts — copies won’t help. It’s not just a guideline either; you can be fined or even held for verification if you can’t produce it. Most people take the risk, but the rule is very real.

International travelers to starting today - October 1, 2025 - take NOTE.

International visitors will no longer need to fill out the old paper disembarkation cards on arrival. Instead, India is rolling out a digital e-Arrival Card, which you can complete online up to 72 hours before your flight lands.

Once submitted, make sure to save the confirmation — you may be asked to show it at immigration.

This move is set to make the arrival process smoother, faster, and more efficient at airports across the country. A small but significant step in modernizing travel and making the first impression of India more seamless.
