Why Mukteshwar :
Its accessible [only 8hrs from Delhi]
Less commercialized
Weather shows all its possible colors within a day itself
It has attractions which are worth visiting like Bhalu Gad waterfalls, Mukteshwar mahadev temple, Sunset Peak, You can go trekking and explore natural flora & fauna, the views are to die for.
A tiny winy travel tip : If not interested in driving down, best way to reach Mukteshwar is Trains [take a train till Kathgodam which will take 6 hrs, then you can easily hire cabs from the station which takes around 2 hrs to reach Mukteshwar.
Where I stayed : which is a property to fall in love with, all the rooms have big clean washrooms, all the rooms have such an amazing view, cook spoils you literally with awesome finger-licking food, not to forget their Ginger honey lemon tea which is worth trying.
Restaurants : since I mentioned place is not that commercial, but still you will find some cafe's / restaurants like Cafe Nirvana [tried & tested], restaurant of Mountain Trail Resort, Cafe Chandi Mati etc. Also there is one of the most famous and oldest chocolate shop, you cant miss their dark chocolates [my fav were caramel milk chocolates ;)]
So what are you waiting for long weekend is here...plan a trip and go crazy :)

Everything about this view of Jaipur city from Nahargarh Fort is spectacular....
This pic motivates me to visit this Pink City again [last i visited Jaipur in 2013 :( ].
The pink Hue...this gorgeous sunset....this spectacular view...just everything about this pic is amazing.

McWay Falls is a beautiful and remarkable waterfall dropping into an untouched cove on the California coast. McWay Falls is the star of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park in Big Sur. The way McWay Falls drops to the beach, it looks like paradise.

If you`re in Bangkok for holiday ,choose a day for this special place...'Erawan National Park'.Its one of the most beautiful places you will see in Thailand, Located in Kanchanaburi. And its famous for its seven-tiered waterfall. The national park is located in the west of Thailand, about 550 km² large and open all around the year.
The name of the park and waterfall is originated by the three-headed elephant from the Hindu mythology. The waterfall, which stretches over a distance of 1500 meters, is the reason most of the visitors come to the Erawan National Park.The falls consist of 7 levels, you can easily spend a day here, so try getting here early before its gets crowded [its around 2hr from Bangkok].

Interesting facts about Meghalaya :
- Deep in the dense tropical forests of Meghalaya there are many natural wonders known as Living root bridges which provide a stable alternative to the wooden bridges. The most famous one is the "double-decker" root bridge, can be found in the vicinity of the wettest place on earth -- Cherrapunji (also known as Sohra). There are 11 functional root bridges in this area, situated around two and a half hours drive from Shillong.
- Mawlynnong village is one of the most cleanest village in Asia. Not only is this village spotless clean but it’s one of the prettiest ones you will see in the country.
- Kongthong village which is also known as the Whistling village of India, here people have a tune for each others name. Mother create these tunes for their children which are often inspired by the sounds of nature for eg birds chirping etc.
- Dawki , his was the river Umngot, possibly India's cleanest river...you can see the same in the picture even

Mukteshwar is a town located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India. These pictures were clicked on our way to Mukteshwar. This was my second visit to the same resort i.e Waywoodwind Lodge....I recommend this resort for the simple reason ...its not commercial like other hotels, its like a home away from home, all the rooms have a spectacular view, and I can be a couch potato whenever I am there hehehe :p
