Nature's original camouflage.

Eucalyptus trees shed their bark in strips, and underneath is this wild patchwork of green, grey, rust, and cream — the same palette armies borrowed centuries later. Turns out camo was never a human invention. It was growing on tree trunks all along.

A small body, a stunned heart, and a window it didn't see coming.
Found this little sparrow after it hit the glass — just lying there, breathing fast, scared. Scooped it up gently, gave it little warmth, a few drops of water, and just... waited.
A few minutes later, it blinked, steadied itself, and flew off into the pines like nothing happened. But something did happen — a tiny life got a second chance because someone stopped to notice.
This is what Kasauli teaches you every single day: slow down, look closer, the forest is full of small miracles asking for five minutes of your attention.
🪶 If a bird ever hits your window — don't panic. Keep it warm, dark, and quiet. Offer water with a dropper. Give it time before it flies.

Nature's reminder that shedding what no longer serves you is just part of the glow-up.
Found this beauty in the pine forest today — a rat snake molt, perfectly intact. These guys are completely harmless and honestly one of the coolest things you can stumble across on a trail. Protect your local wildlife.

🌲 Come walk slowly with me.

No rush. No agenda. Just you, the pine forest, and everything the mountains have been quietly growing for centuries.
Join me (Vanita) on a slow nature walk in Kasauli where we'll stop to smell, touch, and taste — discovering the edible wild plants your grandmother probably knew, the forgotten medicinal herbs that healers once swore by, and the little green things most people walk right past.
Along the way, watch a Himalayan village slowly wake up — smoke rising from hamams, the sound of bells, life at its gentlest pace. And if you're lucky, a few friendly mountain dogs might decide to join us for a stretch of the trail. 🐕‍🦺
This is not a hike. It's a conversation with the forest. 🍃
✨ Come breathe air that actually smells like something.
