Subject: Proposal for Extension of Railway Line from Dullabcherra to Nivia Cheragi
Respected Sir/Madam,
We would like to respectfully submit this proposal requesting the extension of the existing railway line from Dullabcherra to Nivia Cheragi in Karimganj district, Assam.
The proposed extension is of significant importance for the socio-economic development of the region. Nivia, Cheragi and the surrounding villages currently face limited transportation facilities, causing inconvenience to daily commuters, students, farmers, traders, and small business owners. A railway extension would greatly enhance connectivity, reduce transportation costs, and improve access to markets, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.
This project would also contribute to regional development by:
Boosting local trade, agriculture, and small-scale industries.
Generating employment opportunities during construction and operation.
Providing safe, affordable, and reliable transportation to residents.
Strengthening infrastructure in this strategically important border region.
The people of this area have long been expecting improved railway connectivity, and this extension would significantly uplift the economic and social conditions of the region.
I sincerely request the concerned authorities to kindly conduct a feasibility study and consider including this project in the upcoming railway development plans.
