A complex of 27 Hindu & Jain temples are desecrated to build qutub complex
Hasan nizami, the historian of qutbuddin aibak wrote in his book ‘’Taj-ul-maasir ….
“He entered the city, and its vicinity was freed from idol and idols worship & in the sanctuaries of the images of the gods, mosques were raised by the worshippers of the one god”
Now what is the problem why we are still confusing when the all the fact are present front of everyone, and we live in free country and history is still twisted.
Archaeological proof that are visible by everyone but why historians are still confusing I do not know…. we can easily see the elements present in the Hindu & Jain temples
* Ferocious-looking ‘kirti-mukh’, in the pillars
* Goddess Ganga and Yamuna depicted on Aibak’s screens by scroll-like pattern of Ganga’s mount ‘makara’ on the left and wave-like pattern of Yamuna
* Purna-kalash motifs in Alai Darwaza.
* ‘Puna-kalash’ with mango-leaves sticking out and embossed with ‘Alif’ patterns in Iltutmish’s Northern screen extensions.
* Row of flower garlands with temple bells hanging
* Purna kumba, the miniature of Hindu & Jain god and goddess carving on the pillars, the Hindu style of pillars are enough evidence I think
The archaeological survey of India was established by Britishers in India and they maintained status quo for such controversial building to avoid conflict and disharmony among Hindus and Muslims. They tried to maintain peace among their subjects and sometimes put these cases in courts for proper judgements. They also proposed written history documents and searches for such important historical monument.
