Since the beginning, it has been progressing every year with better events and activities. nvision is Inter- College Technical Festival of IIT Hyderabad, where we strive for continuous innovation, invention and passion with broader scopes to make learning fun and useful with hands on experience and in fine tuning the interest of the participants.. We have both technical and cultural clubs like dance, drama, music, astronomy, programming, photography, prakriti, hacking & security club. We have functional Green Office which concentrates on the green rating in and around the institute. We have Sunshine, counseling cell where we take care of the emotional needs of every student

We at IIT Hyderabad focus not on just academics but on sports with full enthusiasm by organizing intra college competitions, sports meet with Pan IIT alumni and other colleges in Hyderabad. We also participate with much enthusiasm, the Inter IIT sports meet, an annual sport event conducted for all IITs and similar institutes.

The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC), IIT Hyderabad, invites you to be a part of PRAGYAAN – our initiative to build a collection of 1 million books, fostering a culture of reading, learning, research, and knowledge sharing.

We welcome contributions of books and valuable reading materials in diverse disciplines, including STEM and the Humanities, to enrich our collective knowledge repository and preserve our intellectual heritage.

|| IIT Hyderabad inaugurated the 'Inclusive Study Centre' (ISC) at the Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC), IIT Hyderabad, to strengthen accessibility, inclusivity, and equitable access to learning resources for students with diverse educational and learning needs.

The Centre was inaugurated by Prof. B. S. Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad, in the presence of Divyangjan students, faculty, staff, and members of the Institute’s support teams.

The initiative provides a dedicated and supportive study environment with access to academic resources, assistive tools, and facilities tailored to students’ requirements.

On the occasion, Prof. B. S. Murty also launched the official ISC website, which provides information on the Centre’s facilities, services, accessibility provisions, and operational guidelines.

The website also features an online room booking system, enabling eligible students to reserve study spaces remotely.

IIT Hyderabad congratulates Ms. Mantry Priyathee, PhD Scholar, Department of Entrepreneurship and Management, guided by Dr. Jayshree Patnaik, on receiving the Best PhD Presentation Award at the 21st European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2026), held on 17–18 September 2026 at the ISCTE–University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal.

The award was presented for their paper titled “Lean Startup for Opportunity Exploitation in Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Evidence from India’s Sustainability-Oriented Ventures.”

This recognition celebrates their contribution to research in sustainable entrepreneurship and innovation.

Explore the science behind our heritage and shape the future of heritage innovation!

NITI Aayog held the 6th meeting of its Committee on Critical & Strategic Minerals at IIT Hyderabad on 8 October 2026, bringing together experts from research institutions, government organisations, professional bodies and industry to discuss priorities across India’s critical minerals value chain.

The meeting covered domestic resource availability, research and development, technological advancements, commercialisation and industry deployment. Participating institutions shared updates on their work, while industry representatives offered perspectives on ongoing developments and emerging opportunities.

A special presentation by Enervoxa Inc., Canada, showcased technology for extracting rare earths from red mud. The Committee also highlighted the contribution of professional associations in supporting the advancement of India’s critical and strategic minerals mission.

The deliberations underscored the need for continued collaboration among scientific institutions, industry and professional bodies to strengthen domestic capabilities in critical minerals.

Amrutha, a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, joined the program to understand the inner workings behind the architecture that runs the AI world.

"In today's world we are actually very much using AI in every day life for even small tasks. So, I wanted to know what's actually happening behind the models"

Over four weeks of hands-on learning with IIT Hyderabad faculty and industry practitioners, participants like Amrutha worked on real builds, from GenAI fundamentals to RAG and AI agents.
