BJP is set to become the largest party in Telangana in terms of seats as well as vote share. Congress is likely to receive a rude shock from the voters within 6 months of receiving a clear mandate. INC should consider itself lucky if it is able to win 5 seats. The reasons for BJP's stellar show are

- Modi's popularity doesnt seem to wane
- The congress govt in state failed build a perception that it is going to stand on its promises made during the state elections
- The Scheduled Caste votes are moving away to BJP pretty fast

On the other hand, is not doing as badly as most of the analysts are estimating. It may do well in Medak, Warangal, Mahbubabad and Nagarkarnool constituencies and win win atleast 1-2 seats.

Here are the predictions for the outcome of 2024 General Elections.

1. There seems to be no anti-incumbency against the Modi govt
2. People are preferring BJP in recently formed Congress governments in Karnataka and Telangana
3. Kejriwal's arrest might have got some sympathy but it required minimum 5% swing to make any dent in BJP seat share in Delhi
4. In Tamilnadu too, BJP is going to be the second largest party ousting AIADMK. The vote share is seen rising substantially but it may not convert into more than 2 seats
5. In the state of UP, the split of anti BJP vote between INDI and BSP is going to cost the opposition heavily
6. BJP is losing its ground in the states of Haryana, Maharastra, Goa and a little bit in Rajasthan
7. In the state of Punjab, Shiromani Akali Dal may throw some surprises by coming back strongly. In the 4 way contest, where a small margin may throw some surprises
8. It has become difficult to guage the mood in Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand but since the trend is going in favor of BJP, we see no surprises

All in all, Modi is coming back more stronger with bigger mandate.

The union Budget for FY 2023-24 is by far the best effort from the Modi government. It is a balanced effort to rationalize tax regime, curtail populism and foster growth while maintaining the fiscal discipline.

The markets reacted negatively due to extraneous reasons, but this effort from the FM deserves an applause, at last. At a time, we are under continuous onslaught for not being subservient to the US hegemony while our peers got succumbed to the stratagem, this effort is a step in right direction of becoming truly ATMANIRBHAR. Looks like the bear assault will continue for some more time but it is not unusual considering the one way rise many stocks have witnessed post Covid.

Investors should not go overboard expecting immediate recovery but wait for opportunities to enter right growth stories.
