SpiceCounty Agro was an idea that came about from our own experience of not being able to find good quality spices during our life in the cities. What we could buy were either of very poor quality or exorbitantly priced. We also realized that not even a quarter of that big price tag reaches those who cultivate them painstakingly.

At SpiceCounty Agro we will not sell a product if we cannot grow it in our farms or source it directly from our neighboring farms. We strive to be hyper-local because we wish to retain that personal touch in everything that we can offer you.

Organically processed Products

All our products are organically processed. We do not use chemicals or artificial substances for cleaning and preserving these spices.

To start with, the water we use to clean them is from springs and wells around the farm. They are then dried in sunlight on bamboo mats, packed in gunny bags and stored in smokeries that are kept warm and smoked with firewood. The low oxygen and moisture levels in these smokeries keep any organic contamination - even microbes and rodents away.

A pinch of these is all that it takes to tickle your taste buds and we strongly believe that this experience should not be adulterated. Moreover, these spices have therapeutic benefits. Mother nature has made them so to keep you healthy and we will never deny you that gift.

As strong as our commitment to keep our products organic, is our determination to preserve the essence of the place we grow these spices. Nature has blessed us here with her gifts in abundance to sustain us in all that we need. Therefore, we wish to provide our patrons with the best of what we have, even though some of it may sound archaic to our fast paced lives.

We may not be able to give you next-day or 2 day delivery but we are sure we can deliver the best of what you can get.

Our Spice Basket...

We fill our spice baskets from the misty highlands of the western ghats of Idukki, known as the spice garden of Kerala - a land known for its spices to the Babylonians, Egyptians, Greek and Romans as early as 3000 BCE. ​Idukki is also renowned for her lush evergreen tropical rain forests, wildlife and natural beauty with tourist destinations like Munnar and Thekkady.

Here, every morning the sun comes up ever so gently to reveal the sleepy hamlets covered in a lush green blanket of tea plantations and spice gardens. The mist keeps them hidden from the dark skies in the night. Feather like drizzles bathe and nurture them while the sun keeps them warm during the day.
