“The standard bearers among India Guides” Departures Magazine, UK

“Fiona Caul

field's Love Guides are beautifully produced, thoughtful guides to the truly special places and activities, treasured by locals, that make the visitor fall in love with the city. Most guidebook publishers aspire to give the reader insider, local wisdom on the best places to have an authentic experience, but few do more than recycle the same well-trodden sites, restaurants, shops and hotels. Caulfied's beautifully designed and crafted books set a very high bar for her competitors -- they are without question the best city guides for the discerning traveller to anywhere that we have seen.” Globe Corner, USA

“These cherishable guides are a gold mine of local know how. I was so impressed. For one thing, it's their appearance: each is hand-bound using old Indian paper making techniques, with a hand-woven, khadi cover and sold in a khadi pouch with a silk trim. I cherish the slubbed pages and rough hewen edges. Another reason I rely on them is because Caulfield's local knowledge is compelling, especially her encyclopedic shopping savvy - always handy in India. I'll never shop in India again without her. The loving way she compiled them is a rarity in the mass-produced guide book market.” Financial Times UK

“Love Story: We know a thing or two about guidebooks so thought it appropriate to give props to the insightful, Indian- centric Love Travel Guides series. Each book is beautifully printed and teeming with tips that could only be gleaned by local knowledge”. Wallpaper

“It looks, and feels, like a book of secrets. And so it is: all the savvy insider knowledge a traveller craves is here.” Weekend Australian

“The ultimate guide for the discerning vagabond. A chic way to discover the hidden gems of cities across India.” Vogue, India

“Love stories - A guide pretty enough to give as a gift” Conde Nast Traveller, UK

“Strikingly different, refreshingly intimate and beautifully designed" Travel & Leisure, India

“For the discerning traveller who wants authenticity in style” The Times of India

“Reading the book is like being chaperoned by a good friend” Longitude, USA

As many of you know, I have been travelling to Madhya Pradesh a few times in the last six months on a mission to both fall in love with MP and find India’s best tiger experience. I really feel i have done both and have discovered so much more than the tigers, loving time in the wilderness, the clean air, the wisdom of the tribal communities and discovering incredible architecture and culture. I hugely appreciate the warmth of all the people who have shared their passion with me. Am ready to start a Love Madhya Pradesh book! Thankyou
and And for those interested this tiger is the majestic DJ9 that and I were lucky to spend close to twenty minutes with (on our own) on my last safari drive in Kanha ❤️🐅

This morning I was lucky to explore the ancient Buddhist site of Sanchi just outside of Bhopal which dates back to the 2nd century BC. Arriving at sunrise as suggested by in his Blue Guide, I had the site to myself for over an hour until the first monk arrived. My guide explained that these footprints were because Buddha was a great traveller, whilst I think they are unlikely to mean that, it made me happy and I was reminded of how lucky we are to be travellers

It’s been a while since I have posted- (hah, an understatement!!) - however here I am, back doing what I love, falling in love with India. This morning I went from the Jaipur airport straight to the workshop to share my favourite block print experience with my travellers

A day of great karma according to my driver, Arun. Together we took off on a road trip across the mountain state of Himachal Pradesh, also known as the abode of the Gods and were rewarded with a fabulous day. March 8th was both International Women’s Day and also Maha Shivratri, a day in which Shiva, the Hindu deity is celebrated. We first joined a street procession, where Shiva and his wife Parvati were dancing on a tractor accompanied by Hanuman. Next we headed to the ancient Shiva temple of Baijnath. This early 13th century temple features exquisite carvings and also is the most important pilgrimage site for physicians who come here to ask for Shiva’s blessing so they can heal their patients. Maha Shivratri is the busiest day at the temple and yet as the only foreigner there I was welcomed into the the celebrations 🔱🙏

Another great morning in India, watching the cricket test match between England and India at the spectacular Dharmashala Stadium. Fresh snow on the Dhauladhar Range and bright blue skies.

Women are incredible, here are some pics of the extraordinary female volunteers at The Golden Temple in Amritsar who along with male volunteers feed 100,000 people daily for free. Everyone is welcome to eat and welcome to help. I tried my hand at stirring an enormous pot of daal.

Out and about in Amritsar, friendly faces, powerful statues, a foodie paradise, the sombre Jallianwalla Bagh and the impressive Partition Museum plus a vegetarian McDonalds at the Town hall, perhaps not quite in that order
