Team KKDATS had the honour of meeting Prof. Tana Showren, President of NES and a respected historian.

We discussed the vast tourism potential of Kurung Kumey and the Nyishi-inhabited regions. He emphasized the importance of preserving our history, rich biodiversity, and cultural identity as the foundation for sustainable tourism.

His encouragement and vision have strengthened our resolve to promote responsible tourism that benefits both people and nature. 🌿📖🌄

On 13th June 2025, the Kurung Kumey District Adventure Tourism Society (KKDATS) had the honour of receiving a distinguished research team led by Prof. Tana Showren (Professor at Rajiv Gandhi University Doimukh, and President of the Nyishi Elite Society (NES)).

With over 70 passionate students and scholars exploring Neolithic sites, their visit to Parsi Parlo Circle, Kurung Kumey district was both an academic pilgrimage and a cultural awakening. Under the warm hosting of Shri Sangha Choba, KKDATS served as a guide, showcasing the untold beauty and historical depth of Kurung Kumey.

Here, history is not in textbooks alone—it’s alive in our land, our people, and our purpose.
