Happy National Tourism Day!
The Kurung Kumey District Adventure & Tourism Society (KKDATS) is proud of our district’s natural beauty, rich culture, and vibrant spirit of adventure. Let us continue working together to promote sustainable tourism and make Kurung Kumey shine on the tourism map.
To mark this special day, the Kurung Kumey District Adventure & Tourism Society, along with resource persons—the Arunachal’s youngest Everester Tagit Sorang Abraham, Shri Tadar Robin (International Tour Operator and Treasurer, APTOA), and Sorang Talik—organised a two-day awareness programme on Eco-Tourism and Eco-Hike.
On the first day, an essay writing competition was held at GHSS Sangram, encouraging students to express their thoughts on eco-tourism and sustainability.
On the second day, essay writing, poster-making, and drawing competitions were conducted at PM SHRI KGBV Damin, followed by a short eco-hike to give participants a hands-on experience of nature and responsible tourism.
The 2 days programme was guided by Department of Tourism Govt. Of Arunachal Pradesh.
