A pre-historic Hindu pilgrimage site, the Galtaji Temple, is located only 10km away from Jaipur. One of the jewels of Jaipur, the temple complex encompasses natural fresh water springs and 7 holy 'kunds' or water tanks. Among these kunds, the 'Galta Kund', is the holiest one and is believed to never get dry. The Galta Monkey Temple has a back-drop of gorgeous landscape featuring lush green vegetation, and offers a fascinating view of the city of Jaipur. This temple is famous for the many tribes of monkeys that dwell in this area. A spectacular structure, this magnificent temple is built in pink sandstone.

Come for an excursion to Abhaneri, 95km from Jaipur! The Chand Baori stepwell and the Harshat Mata temple have made this small town popular. It was originally named Abha Nagri, which means "city of brightness," but with the time, pronunciation has changed.
The 10th century stepwell is one of the largest in India, and you will be amazed by such a masterpiece.
Harshat Mata Temple, dedicated to the goddess Harshat Mata, serves as the other attraction of Abhaneri. Razed during the invasion of India in the 10th century, the remains of the temple still boast architectural and sculptural styles of ancient India. According to local believes, Harshat Mata is considered to be always cheerful, and she imparts her joy and happiness to the whole village.

The Rajput King of Jaipur, Sawai Jai Singh, built Jantar Mantar monument in 1734. This magnificent observatory features the world's largest stone sundial and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
