What Makes Rajasthan a Top Tourist Destination in India?

Ease of Travel
The facility of transportation in Rajasthan is Safe, Efficient and easily accessible. Ranging from national highways to International Airports, Rajasthan is blessed with various modes of transportation which further help people in visiting here easily. There are three major airports in Rajasthan- the Sanganer International Airport in Jaipur, Jodhpur Airport and the Dabok International Airport in Udaipur. Considering the rails, the major railway stations in Rajasthan are in Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota, Mount Abu, Bikaner, Ajmer, Alwar and Bharatpur. However, the stations in Jaipur and Kota attract the most arrivals. Rajasthan has 20 national highways that run through the state which connect Rajasthan to other metro cities in India such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Indore. There are frequent buses issued by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation that support interstate travel as well.

Better covid policies
With the rise of new variants of COVID-19, safety has become a major matter of concern and the government of Rajasthan has taken various measures to curb the same. The public places are more clean and hygienic now and while entering the borders, one is asked either to present a report declaring that they are vaccinated or a negative RT-PCR report. Also, social distancing, frequent sanitization and wearing a mask has been made mandatory.

Welcoming locals
Rajasthan is majorly known for its hospitality and cheerful and welcoming locals, an essence of which can be seen in anything done here. The warmth and the welcome one receives in Rajasthan truly makes their trip. People often feel delighted to get to know this place from a locals perspective and for the same, they opt for activities like village tours, cooking sessions with locals and much more.

Safety
With the newly passed amendment bill, Rajasthan Government has made any kind of misbehavior with tourists a "non-bailable" offense. Acts where vendors charge unexpected high prices or indulge in verbal or physical abuse with a tourist will be reviewed under a bar now and can be considered a cognizable offense.

Wide Range of Festivals
Rajasthan is often said to be the land of festivals and fears and tourists are drawn to this state due to its wide array of fairs and events. The essence of Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage is best felt when one takes part in its festivals. The fests like the International Hot Air Ballooning Festival, Pushkar Camel Fair and Bundi Utsav are very famous among tourists.
