The constitution of India lays down certain rights to each citizen of India as an individual. These rights are known as the Fundamental Rights and are meant to protect and provide inalienable rights to every human being, without which a progressive and democratic society and nation cannot be conceived or exist. These rights ensure reasonable restriction on the encroachment by the state on the free
dom of individuals and groups. These protect citizens from biased, discriminatory and arbitrary action of not only the state but also of private citizens as individuals or groups. These rights in their progressive connotation entail existence of enabling and conducive environment. Furthermore these rights in their normative and enabling manifestation form the basis of a Just Society. With this approach Organization for a Just Society or OJUS in acronym is conceived.
