Kanha National Park..

Kanha National Park is one of the most striking national parks in the Maikal range that proves to be the most inspiring place for the creative creatures. Creatures that don't live in the jungles but have great fascinations for the jungles, the intelligent creatures, the human being, who have great alluring for the wildlife and natural bewilderment. Among those intelligent creatures, the most notable writer and novelist of 18th century Rudyard Kipling once visited this place, the place which is the perfect home to magnanimous counts of Barasingha, the Swamp Deer. And to the curiosity of many, the invention of "The Jungle Book" by Rudyard Kipling was the result of the perfect inspiration of Kanha and the nearby areas.

With tropical based climate, summers at Kanha are so rigorous to be reached up to 43° C but the central highland area of Madhya Pradesh is also uniquely being doused with heavily monsoon pours with the average rainfall of 1800 mm to make the surrounding more scenic and greenish. On the contrary, winters can be found more shivering in the dense jungles of Kanha to drop the mercury level by -2°C.

Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga National Park is the name to exemplify the most popular conservation efforts to save the endangered species like one-horned rhinoceros in India. Located in the Golaghat and Nagaon district of Assam, this most notable wildlife sanctuary is being declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 1985. The park resides at an edge of the Eastern Himalayan biodiversity hotspot and this could be the perfect reason to envision high degrees of diversified species with great visibility.

The park lies in the flood plains of Brahmaputra River and so every year the region is completely drenched with high water level; so do the wildlife gets affected by it too. And keeping such messy situation in mind, the park officials are always ready for every kind of provision for the safety of the jungle beings of Kaziranga.

Lying between the latitudes of 26°30' N and 26°45' N, and longitudes 93°08' E to 93°36' E within two districts of Assam, Golaghat and Nagaon, the Kaziranga National Park is stretched across an area of 378 sq km with an addition of 429 sq km along the present boundary of the park. The land of Kaziranga is made fertile with the alluvial soil formed by the erosion and the silt deposition of Brahmaputra River to make it more eligible for agriculture at the outskirts of the park area.

SheJumps and the Northwest Avalanche Center are joining forces, with the support of Fremont Brewing and K2 Skis, in an effort to bring affordable avalanche education opportunities to women in the Seattle-area.

We encourage adult women (21+ only) to apply, with a preference towards women of color, underrepresented women, and women in need of financial assistance. We welcome all women (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community.

Scholarships awarded will allow recipients to attend AIARE Level 1: Decision Making in Avalanche Terrain courses during the 2018/2019 winter season at a 50-100% discounted price for the following snow sports: skiing, splitboarding, snowshoeing.
