Skiing courses rescheduled from 1st February 2013 onwards.
Dear friends in view of the late snowfall we are now offering the skiing course from 1st February onwards. We understand that formation of specific batches won’t be possible under the present circumstances. This means that you can join the course as per your availability. However, do check if vacancies are available on your specific dates. As of today we are totally booked between 17th Feb to 23rd feb 2013.
Course Strength: 10 persons. This means that at any given date we will be hosting a maximum of ten persons. The course strength might be increased on special circumstances.
Eligibility:
1. Physical fitness, preferably health check up by a qualified medical practitioner as the training demands intense physical activity and exposure to cold and windy weather conditions.
2. Desirable expedition behavior and discipline.
3. Strict adherence to environmental and responsible tourism guidelines.
Instructions: Please do bring your own medication kit and inform if you have any specific food allergy. Do bring enough pair of warm clothes as you will be spending lot of time on snow. Cap, gloves, dark sun glasses and sun screen are essential. We do have a small equipment store including warm clothes/jackets etc but we won’t be able to provide to all the participants.
Training Arrangements: Participants will be accommodated at the Devi Darshan Lodge in Auli. The initial training will be conducted on the slopes near the lodge. From day 3 onwards, the participants will visit the ski slopes for practice. Chairlift fees and ski lift charges subject to 3 rides per day are included in the course fee. Pack lunch will be provided during the practice days on the ski slopes so that participants can devote more time in learning. For the first two days, lunch will be provided in the lodge itself and participants will resume training in the post lunch session.
How to reach Auli:
Air :-The nearest airport is at jolly grant (17kms from Rishikesh 26 kms from Dehradun and 274 kms from Auli)
Rail :-The nearest rail heads are Rishikesh,Haridwar and Dehradun.
Road :Auli is only a 14 kms drive from Joshimath .state transport and union buses ply regularly between Joshimath and Rishikesh (257 kms), Haridwar (281kms), Dehradun(298kms.) and Delhi(500kms). For further assistance in arranging your transport logistics, you can always write to us.
Fee Structure: The total fee for the revised 6nights/7days is priced at Rs. 14571. This is all inclusive per person with shared accommodation ex Auli.
Payment Procedure: You can book your seat by depositing a 25 % course fee. The rest should be paid at the time of your joining the course. In case of failure to join the course due to any circumstances, you are entitled for a refund of 10% of the deposited amount. The refund will be deposited in your account within two weeks.
Payment Method: Deposit 25 % course fee i.e. Rs. 3643 in our under mentioned account. Do email the confirmation receipt/cheque number @gmail.com along with following information:
