Manimahesh located about 26 kilometres from Bharmour in the Budhil , is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most revered pilgrimage sites. Situated at an altitude of around 13,000 feet, the sacred lake lies beneath the majestic Kailash which rises to approximately 18,564 feet.
Every year, during the eighth day of the bright half of the Bhadon month, a fair is held at Manimahesh Lake. Thousands of devotees and pilgrims travel here to seek blessings and take a holy dip in the sacred waters, making the a deeply spiritual and unforgettable experience.

Himachal Pradesh's first island tourism project at Jeori Pattan in Govind Sagar Lake in Bilaspur district is expected to open for tourists within the next month, deputy commissioner Rahul Kumar announced on Saturday 25 July 2026.

Visitors will enjoy nature-based accommodation, traditional Himachali cuisine, cultural evenings featuring folk music and dance, and activities such as water sports, aero sports, fishing, local sightseeing and pre-wedding photography.
