Another successful 15-day birding expedition across Northeast India has come to an end today, recording an impressive total of over 470 bird species.
The journey covered some of the most iconic birding destinations in the region, including Nameri NP, Dirang, Mandala Road, Sela Pass, Kaziranga NP, and the Mishmi Hills. Each location offered its own unique diversity and challenges, making the overall experience both rewarding and memorable.
The trip, however, was not without its difficulties. Continuous and unseasonal rainfall throughout the expedition made conditions particularly challenging, requiring persistence and adaptability in order to locate and observe our target species. Despite these hurdles, we successfully managed to achieve most of our key targets.
