Deep Ecology


is a holistic approach to face the world problems that brings together thinking, feeling, spirituality and action. It involves moving beyond the culture of individualism and seeing ourselves as part of the earth. This leads to a deeper connection with life, where Ecology is not just seen as something 'out there', but something we are part of and have a role to play in. In this approach, the relationship is more of an involved participant, who feels connected with and part of the world around them. Sustainable living

Sustainable living is a lifestyle that attempts to reduce an individual's or society's use of the Earth's natural resources and personal resources. People already use a huge amount of the Earth's non-renewable resources to live their everyday lives. We have almost exhausted the earth’s energy resources. We have been overly using plastic and concrete materials, cutting trees and damaging rivers. Sustainable living is the only answer to this problem. It's simply a matter of time until there is no option. We have to start living it before we are being forced to. We at PTWC are not doing any additional building construction activities detrimental to the environment. We have renovated the existing structures and resorted to options like tree houses, temporary camping etc, the reason being not only living a sustainable life but living closer to the nature in our patriarchal home . We have taken properties left behind in forest and renovated. PTWC platform trekkingtowellness.com, which is under construction, to link similar people and places who can align with the us. Complete rejuvination is possible where Pancha Bhoota is pure. In ayurveda and Indian philosophy, the human body is considered to be made of five basic elements called Pancha Bhoota. These elements are: Prithvi(Earth), Apas/Jal ( Water), Agni (Fire), Vayu( Air), Aakash( Aether). These elements if avalable in pure form and assimilated by the body and spirit in the right proportion leads to the wellness of the body and mind

The life came into existence first in the water. So sea is our matriarchal home. Once life has entered the land, woods has given all that need to sustain the life. Thus forest is our patriarchal home. We try to attain total happiness at PTWC is by going back to our patriarchal home, the forest. Palavayal has many enchanting mountains and evergreen forest , some breath taking streams and rivers all around. If u happen to wake up early and u can hear the twitters of hundreds of birds. The magical sound of Thejaswani flowing down the hills will also add that magic . So all elements of life in its purest form contribute to wellness and happenaess and to spirituality. Smells associated with Earth element. Taste is associated with water element. Shapes and forms are associated with fire element. Touch is associated with air element and sound with ether element. The purest elements of Pancha bhoota are available abundantly in Palavayal in the form of chirping birds, whispering wind, rippling river and rustling leaves etc. You will be mesmerised by trekking on the shores of Tejaswini or the beautiful Kottancheri Hills or walking on the gorgeous grass lands of Tabor Hills, Ranipuram and many other exotic locations. Day 2: Full-Day Birding in Munnar
Morning birding in shola forests & grasslands -

Back to property for lunch break
