A restless night in a deserted island at Habalikhati Nature Camp was interrupted by the roar of waves and eerie howling in the dark. Stepping outside, I was awestruck by the sight of the ocean crashing against the shore under moonlight. The following day, a treacherous drive through dense fog led to a launch ride into the wilds of Bhitarkanika, known for its crocodiles and untamed beauty. Along the journey, I encountered fleeting moments of nature's raw power—deer crossing the path, king cobras, and the rising tides that forced a hasty retreat. The wilds of Odisha left a permanent mark on my soul.
