Mirik is a picturesque tourist spot nestled in the serene hills of Darjeeling district in West Bengal, India. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning "place burnt by fire".

Mirik has become a popular tourist destination for its climate, natural beauty and easy accessibility. The centre of all attraction is the Sumendu lake, surrounded by a garden on one side and pine trees on the other and linked together by an arching footbridge called Indreni Pull (Rainbow Bridge). A 3.5-km-long road encircles the lake and is used for walks with the view of Kanchenjunga on the far horizon. Boating on the quaint shikaras and pony riding are available.

Elevated at a height of 4,905 ft. Mirik’s most alluring feature is the Bokar Monastery, which itself is located over 5,801ft. The climate of this town is pleasant almost the entire year, fluctuating between 30 degrees to 1 degree Celsius in summer and winter respectively.

Mirik actually has several sightseeing and tourist places other than the lake. Lovely view points to watch sunrise, sunset and the landscape, several nearby tea gardens, monasteries and temples, orange orchards, flower gardens including orchids and more.

Dalhousie is a hill station full of colonial charm that holds lingering echoes of the Raj. 24/12 - Our journey will start from NJP. Will hault for breakfast on way to Aritar (boating at Aritar Lake after lunch). Evening snacks & Dinner at stay.
25/12 - Aritar to Agamlok (via Mankhim & Aritar Monastery). Will start after breakfast. Permit for Silk Route will be done at Rongli Market (1 & 1/2 hrs leisure for shopping during permit processing time). Night stay at Agamlok. Lunch, evening snacks, tea & dinner at stay.
26/12 - Will start in the morning after breakfast for sightseeing - Zuluk, Nathang valley, lungthang valley, Kupup, Jelep la Pass, Memencho Lake, Kalpokhari, Thambi view point, Baba Mandir. Night stay at Padamchen. Lunch, evening snacks, tea, dinner at stay.
27/12 - Will start after breakfast for Rolep sightseeing. Night stay at Lingtam river side. Lunch, evening snacks, tea, dinner at stay.
