A beautiful village at an altitude of 5000ft, 15km from Lolegaon is a small valley where the nature has abandoned all its wealth in the solitary land called Charkhole (also spelled Charkhol).

Sited 27km from Kalimpong, Charkhole has made its way towards the heart of travelers since it offers the widest possible view of the snow capped view of mighty Kanchenjunga. Charkhol is a paradise for birdwatchers as well as those who love butterflies. Various species of birds like Indian robin, ashy prinia, green-backed tit, blue fronted redstart and hill myna are seen at Charkhole.

The Jhandi Dara sunrise viewpoint of Lolegaon is about half an hour drive from Charkhole and is a suggested early morning activity here. The canopy walk of Lolegaon is a popular tourist activity.

# village is a unique example of Indifferent Dooars where one may find Hilly streams, ethnic group of people and Wildlife in one place. Panijhora is close to the Buxa Tiger Reserve. The village is located very close to the connecting jungle railhead of Rajabhatkhawa and a perfect for people looking for a stay close to Buxa and Jayanti. Alipurduar Junction is located only 12 km away from this place. The village is crisscrossed by three numbers of streams coming out from the Jungle and flows down to the southeast to meet the Rajabhatkhawa River. Naturally, many birds are seen here throughout the day. All the day there is Musical Consert by Cicada (Cicadoidea) , whereas at nights the bark of a Barking Deer (Muntiacus muntjak) or trumpet of an Elephant (Elephas maximus) can break the silence of the Jungle.

Different Indogenetic groups, like Adibasi, Rabha, Garo and Mechh reside with the Bengalees here along with their different colourful lifestyles. which attract number of Researchers in Panijhora. All these forest dwellers cultivate Rice, Makai, Mustard and other crops along with different vegetables, by traditional methods of agriculture for their livelihood. A Church is located in the centre of the Village, though most of them are Nature Worshippers and Hindus.
