BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL; a stunner of a sighting to wind up yet another successful travel season at East Quest here in India
A melanistic leopard cub ( commonly known as Black Panther) up on a tree late in the evening. Not the best image we understand( especially because the light had fallen drastically in addition to the fact that we were not carrying our DSLR equipments, and was only relying on point & shoot shutters), yet one of our rare captures at East Quest of the few melanistic leopard sightings we've had in the wild in the last few years, interestingly all of them in different parts of India's dense, quiet, largely untouched forests of the North East.

Meanwhile, for those who are interested in traveling with us in India ( & Nepal and Srilanka for safari tours) for the next season, feel free to get in touch with us and inquire with us. SNEAK PEEK ON TO A SLICE OF HEAVEN; what a special few days at Manas we’ve had with our guests on safaris. This reel is only a sneak peek of a few of the many highlights we’ve had this past week. At East Quest, we’re now rounding off our peak travel season here in India.

Our next season bookings that start from end September onwards till the three weeks of May, have already started to pour in. ISLAND VIBES: BREATHTAKING, FROM SUNRISE TO SUNSET; The Andaman Islands is easily becoming one of our favourite destinations at East Quest. Sharing on this video, a little sneak peek from last week whilst on tour with our travelers and explorers from the U.K. Be it adventure or luxury, the Andaman has so much to offer and it remains one of India’s last untouched destinations.

WHAT A SUNDAY; on an exclusive East Quest tour ‘from the hills to the sea’, travelling this morning from Port Blair on our private boat with our travellers and guests from the U.K., we sighted a pod of bottle-nose dolphins numbering about close to a dozen individuals. These beautiful marine animals swam along with our boat for almost close to 07 to 08 minutes. This little over a minute video is probably the best part of the whole sighting. Not all tours start perfectly, but everything becomes a memory at the end of the day; clip from yesterday, a long day getting from New Delhi to Sikkim. Flight delays, Siliguri traffic, unexpected thunderstorms and rains, yet at the end we got there and here we are at Sikkim.

SUNDAY SPECIAL; on safari with East Quest. An incredible sighting of a pack of 06 Asiatic Wild Dogs this morning in one of our personal favourites, at Central India’s forests of Pench. Asiatic Wild Dogs are known by several names such as Red Dogs, Dholes, Whistling Hunters and Red Wolves. For those who may not know, Dholes are often a much more successful predator as compared to Tigers or leopards and sadly they also happen to fall on the list of endangered species.
