Take a Walk

Take a Walk Out of the box trips that you'll cherish for a lifetime! My religion is photography and I like to be on foot while exploring a place. Wait!
(203)

Because, it is only when you walk, can you feel the real spirit of a place around you. When you walk, you become a part of the landscape. You see it as an insider, not an intruder. Though I'll use vehicles to get you to a place, the prime mode of exploration, once we get there, will be hiking. These are not those hikes that rush you to "reach that point". We'll stop and look and shoot when we walk

. There are a few places, however, where I take leisurely boat cruises; it's almost like walking on water! Check out the destinations and get in touch to Take a Walk.

Merry Christmas! How many of you have dreamed of visiting Kutch? How many have looked up the tour options and found them too expensive? Well, in spite of the expenses, most operators will just show you the White Rann and other few run of the mill places. Take a Walk is now geared up to present customized tours of Kutch at pocket friendly prices. Other than the three day Kutch - People and Places, and the four day Kutch - History, People and Places, we can arrange specialty tours for birders, horse enthusiasts, and paleontology/dinosaur enthusiasts too. Send in your queries. Group sizes limited to six people only.

Some trips are for lifetime, while some lifetimes are for trips like this. Walk through the grasslands, ride a jeep across the desert, canter on horseback among the scrub jungles, marvel at the Rogan art, watch the sun set in Pakistan across the border, or just sit beside the ancient step well where time has forgotten to tick. Kutch! The Wild West of India awaits! Only eight participants will be taken. Event details: https://www.facebook.com/events/501217390053682/

Hello folks, ever thought of knowing about bats? We are planning 'Batting innings" a first of it's kind bat study workshop in March 2015. Well-known bat experts will come down to Kolkata for this. The first day would be a bat orientation program in an auditorium which we will follow with a bat walk in Golfgreen area. The second-fourth days will be a field trip to Indian Sundarbans. Fee structures and other details will be sorted out soon and announced. Gear up for some serious batting!

We have always been trying to include specially abled persons in our trips. In the last three years we have successfully organized picnics/day trips for specially abled children with the help of Lipica Bhattacharya, Prasanta Roy, Doyel Ghosh, Shweta Srivastava and Mahua Paul. But this was the first time we got a query from Soumen Upadhyay asking if he could bring his son, Tatai (Soumya Upadhyay) for the MonSOONdarban trip. Tatai is a young adult with autism. Thank you Tatai for giving us the opportunity to contribute to your smile. Thank you Soumen da for having your faith on us! When Tatai distributed slicecakes to everyone in the bus during the return journey and shook hands with all of us, did we wipe our tears of happiness? It really feels special to be able to serve specially abled people. Tatai, we wish to see you again 'taking a walk' with us.

Do you stop to listen to the bird calling across the block? Do you bend down to look at the glisten of the dewdrop? Do you know that spiders are not insects? Do you love National Parks more than amusement parks? Do you love to show around your city/village to your friends? DO YOU LOVE TO TRAVEL AND WISH THAT SOMEONE PAID FOR IT?
