Road trips are perhaps the best way to satiate your craving for adventure and escape monotony. To simply pack up your bags, start up your engines and whiz away is the best kind of break you can get from stress and drama. It doesn't really matter what you do or how old you are, everyone deserves a little fresh air from time to time. We can all use a road trip to shed old skin and live a little, de-stress, forget our troubles and make some fond memories along the way.

Sunrise from 8700 m on Mt Everest. The light up here can be pretty surreal especially as it was filtering through some pretty epic thunderstorm clouds around us. In the background lies Mt Makalu with a still very active thunderstorm cell hanging over it. Not long after we were plunged back into a white out and snow fall but it was nice to feel the warmth of the sun while it lasted. Waiting until everyone had left Everest was a bit of a gamble with the weather but at least we had the rare opportunity of being completely alone on this otherwise heavily crowded mountain.
