Kumarakom – A Safe Tourist Destination Even During Kerala's Monsoon & Flood Season 🌧️🚤
While heavy monsoon rains may affect some parts of Kerala, Kumarakom continues to be one of the safest and most beautiful destinations to visit. Located on the western and southern shores of the magnificent Vembanad Lake and along the Meenachil River, Kumarakom's unique geography allows it to remain accessible and welcoming even during periods of heavy rainfall.
Unlike many low-lying flood-prone areas, the main tourism zones of Kumarakom—including luxury resorts, heritage homestays, the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, and scenic backwaters—generally remain safe for visitors. The lush green landscapes become even more breathtaking during the monsoon, offering a peaceful and unforgettable experience.
