Great Himalayan National Park: A nature lover's paradise...
A place for trekkers, hikers and nature lovers alike, the Great Himalayan National Park provides one of the finest nature trailing opportunities in the country.
One of the only 36 UNESCO world heritage sites in India, the park is home to some of the most exotic and rare species. GHNP is home to more than 832 plant species, representing 128 families and 427 genera, and comprising 26% of the total flora of Himachal Pradesh.
Biodiversity surveys of GHNP in the past decade have identified 31 mammal species, 209 bird species, 12 reptile species, nine amphibian species and 125 insect species.
The nature enthusiasts visiting the GHNP are generally humbled by the greater than life beauty of the park. The Great Himalayan National Park guarantees beautiful vistas and excellent terrains in all of its specially carved out trails while maintaining the fragile and untouched ecosystem safe.
