When South meets North, magic is bound to happen ✨

We were once again overwhelmed to host Ms. Sumathi Murthy and Divya Maney from Bengaluru in our mountain home. From the very first interaction to village walks, evening coffee, and late dinners, we truly enjoyed each other’s company.

Our conversations revolved around Sumnam, Lahaul, the mountains, culture, spirituality, food, family values, education, and life before the Atal Tunnel. How those five days flew by still leaves us wondering. It felt as if we had known each other for ages — but that’s the beauty of homestays, where we learn from one another and celebrate each other’s culture with respect and warmth.

Partners in Adventure....

It was an absolute pleasure hosting Leslie Anderson and friends from Canada. They brought such warm, friendly and positive vibes with them. Our conversations revolved around the rich history of Lahaul—its culture, monasteries, people, dialects, life before the Atal Tunnel, winters, and farm life.

They spent time meditating, went on a short hike around Sumnam, and were truly mesmerized by the beauty and deep silence of the village.

Before leaving, they promised to return soon—and we can’t wait to welcome them back.

The ladies gang from Mumbai ......

We were truly overwhelmed to host Ms. Jyoti Katira and her wonderful friends from Mumbai, who chose our stay for their perfect getaway. They were completely mesmerized by the untouched beauty of Sumnam and spent most of their time soaking in its serene charm.

We shared beautiful moments together, and our evenings were filled with meaningful discussions about our people, culture, and sustainability. It was more than just hosting guests — it felt like welcoming friends into our home.

A journey of a thousand miles, begins with a single step .....

It all started in 2022, after the end of COVID-19, when a simple thought crossed our minds — why not start a homestay, when we are blessed with a beautiful property, a peaceful countryside location, a clean and soothing environment, breathtaking views, spacious rooms, lawn, backyard, parking space, kitchen garden and open spaces.

What began as a small step toward sharing the true tribal experience of Lahaul — its food, culture, and people — came with a lot of scepticism. We weren’t sure how it would turn out. But the love and support you all have shown us every passing year has been truly unforgettable.

We are still learning every day and our constant effort is to provide you with the best and most authentic mountain homestay experience's in Lahaul.

We look forward to welcoming you again in the upcoming season.

Once again, we were privileged to host Mr. Abhishek Vaid, founder of .untravel.show, and Mr. Bhuvan, owner of the boutique homestay "The HIMAL, BIR", at our property.

Their visit was centered around scripting a documentary on the rich history, culture, cuisine, and people of Lahaul — and we’re honored they chose our place as their base.

It was a pleasure sharing thoughts, experiences, and insights with such great individuals. Our conversations revolved around Lahaul’s potential as a tourist destination and the importance of promoting responsible tourism, all while preserving the fragile ecosystem and embracing sustainable development.

These famous lines were said by poet Amir Khusrau, for Kashmir. But we were overwhelmed, when the guest's from Kashmir itself, maam Nasreen Khanyari & Sajad Sir, said these words to our property, Sumnam & Lahaul.

Hailing from Kashmir & spending 5 days with us, was a pure bliss, we all had a great time, the camaraderie between us was exceptional, it felt like, we have known each other from ages....

That's what life is all about and we at our homestay, cherish this journey called "LIFE"...
