"It  Let's go out and play!" Finally, for the first time, I saw little of everywhere while it's falling down from the sky. The  was floating in the air like a feather and it slowly kissed my skin. It was one of those 😍 of my life, which I'll be forever remembered.

Few months ago , i went on a trip to Nainital a popular hill station in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and headquarters of Nainital district in the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas. There are lot of beautiful places in my country and on mother earth but something which made me excited was the legendary love story or history of NAINI Lake. And for that reason Naintal became more beautiful to me. Some people might deny the legend and say that it's just a myth but i don't deny it and never will because now a days we humans only use 10 to 15% of our brain. And our ancestors might have used too much brain. The most precise language of the world(SANSKRIT) was created by them and which is also considered as mother of all languages. The only reason i think that they knew everything. The story which is all based on Shiva....creator of yoga or inventor of Yoga and a great Meditator. No wonder he was very powerful because these 2 things can make you powerful beyond imagination. May be that's why he was called The Destroyer. It is told that Nainital Lake was formed where one of the Sati's eye fall. Sati was unable to bear her father's insults toward her husband Shiva, so she immolated herself. As a great affection and love towards his wife Sati, Shiva was filled with grief and carried her co**se wherever he went .Parts of Sati's body fell on different places, and her eye fell in Nainital, forming a large crater that became Naini Lake. That's why it is also called Naini Taal(Lake) "The Emerald Eye" and it also look like an eye in shape.

The famous Hungarian explorer Coso de Koros spent nearly a year, in 1826-27, at the monastery of Phugthal translating Buddhist texts from Ladakhi into English. He was one of the first European travelers to visit the region. An inscription of his name can be still found in the monastery.

A few years later, the Dogra general Zorawar Singh led his army over the Umasi La during the conquest of Ladakh and the Zanskar. In 1834 he reduced the powers of the royal families in both Padum and Zangla to a nominal status and established the fort at the village of Pipiting just north of Padum. He is also said to have paid a small fortune to hire a local guide to lead his army directly across the passes of the Zanskar Range to the Indus Valley in Order to mount a surprise attack on the king of Ladakh.

The Dogra conquest was recorded by Thomas Thomson, a member of the East India Company's Boundary Commission crossing the Umasi La in June 1848 en route through the Zanskar and Indus Valleys to the Korakoram Pass.

According to Hindu mythology, the Devas bathed in this lake hence the name"devriyatal". The lake is also believed to be the "Indra Sarovar" referred to in the Puranas by wandering, Hindu mendicants Sadhus. It is also believed that it was the place from where the mighty Pandavas were asked queries by Yaksha.

Someone asked me " why backpacking?". Not a bad question at all to ask! Well I can stay in hotels and lodges, or homestays and paid camps, then why backpack?
Let me try to answer it, take a bag, now start putting all the things that you need in life into it, start with food and then cloths, then moving to bigger stuff like bed and sofa, the fan and ac, television and car, and all the other things that you think you "need" in life. Now try to lift the bag, can you? Ofcourse Not! And that's the point, backpacking helps you to differentiate between your "needs" and "wants". What you actually need to survive versus what you want to live lavish. Just imagine with all the things that I mentioned above how much tons of weight you would carry on your shoulders, and that is exactly what we do to ourselves each day, we carry burden of so many unimportant things. What we tend to do is make our life weight more and more. While a backpack may contain all the things you need to survive and weight not more than 20-25kg. I carry my house, bed, stove, food, clothes all on my shoulders. And these are all the things which I actually need in life. I know to climb the mountain I can't let it over burden me and that is what we need to learn from backpacking, never let your "wants"become your "need" and overburden your shoulders. Make your life weight minimum, have all the important things in your bag, but don't get overburden by unnecessary, all it will do is hinder your pace, will make the goal look more distant. Backpacking has been a great learning lesson.
And every new backpacking bumps you with a newer version of yourself, that you hardly knew.
