Slow Life - High Adventure. The new style of holidays in Ladakh.
Our proposition for you is to live the life of Himalayan village with comfortable stay at Alchi Resort, where you have access to the spacious private garden with apricots, apples and sea buckthorn berries. All for the fresh supply of vitamin C for your strength and beauty.
The resort’s restaurant offers mainly vegetarian meals. The vegetables come from its own eco farm and also from veg farm in Saspol where are purchased directly from the field for the extra freshness. Local bread, cottage cheese and yogurt are shopped in Leh form the best traditional crafts shops. The restaurant also offers its own rye-wheat bread, buckwheat pancakes and pickled capers collected around Alchi village from wild growing bushes and preserved in jars as well as own apricot and apple jam and juice.
To feed your soul we recommend visit in 2 Buddhist monasteries in Alchi village - Choskhor (the oldest one in Ladakh and listed by UNESCO) and Tsatsapuri, with stunningly detailed wall paintings and large scale Buddha statues. Also we recommend one hour walk to the meditative caves which are rock cut temples and natural spring with outdoor baths at the middle of steep rock wall. Both offer panoramic view at Alchi and Saspol villages which are known as Ladakh's apricot groves showing all their pink blossom glory right now.
To work your muscles you are spoiled with choices of one day treks and mountain sports - rock climbing, bouldering, rafting, kayaking and extreme mountain biking. Quad rides and swimming pool are also available as well as yoga, tai-chi and kung-fu wushu trainings.
