1. 𝙍𝙚𝙗𝙤 𝙏𝙚𝙣𝙩 (Black Tent)

Material: Made from yak wool or goat hair, handwoven into thick, weatherproof fabric.

Purpose: Warm in winter, breathable in summer, and durable against strong winds.

Design: Rectangular or slightly sloped, supported by wooden poles and ropes.

Users: Changpa nomads, mostly in areas like Pangong, Hanle, and Tso Moriri.

2. 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙉𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙘 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙏𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨

Material: Canvas or synthetic fabric with insulation layers.

Purpose: Provide an “authentic” nomadic feel but with modern comforts (beds, attached toilets, heating).

Where Found: Many camps in Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, and Tso Moriri use these for guests.
