Our Story

Yama Adventures was started in 1997 as a collaboration between Namgial and the Logsdon brothers. Prior to this time, Namgial had been leading treks for many years in Ladakh and was ready to start his own business. The Logsdon brothers were avid trekkers approaching retirement and looking for a way to share their passion for the Himalayas with others. Treks and tours were run all over the Himalayas, but Ladakh remained the favorite destination. The Logsdon brothers have now retired a second time and the business is now totally in the capable hands of Namgial.
