"The Kyagar"

Located in Sumur, 117km from Leh, Kyagar is an effort to get travellers to explore more of Ladakh. The 16-key property comprises eight cottages, each with two rooms that come with a seating area, large washroom and a private sit-out. In a nod to the local traditions and arts, Kyagar’s well-appointed rooms are finished with multani mitti and red clay (instead of paint) from Basgo village in Leh, as well as woven carpets from the area. Inhabiting the delicate ecosystem of Nubra Valley, Kyagar makes an attempt to leave as light a footprint as possible—the property is solar-powered and the food, locally sourced.
