GUIDLINESS

The Protected Destination
Tso Moriri, Tso Kar, Pangong Tso are highly fragile wetlands that support rich biodiversity. Here are a few guidelines for you to step gently in this region and leave least imprint. These guidelines would help you in helping us to conserve this natural heritage for the future generations to come.

The Marked Scenic Route
The rivers, the wetlands and the pastures that you see along the route are home to a wide array of animals and plants. Bird build their nests and breed here, marmots make their burrows and several herbs grow in these areas. The pastures are also an important source of livelihood for the local community. The marked routes allow the best view and at the same time do not cause damage to pasture lands and animals.

The Designated Camping Site
To protect the feeding and nesting grounds of the birds, specific camping sites have been identified at all the three wetlands. The se designated sites are located in a manner that they offer the best view yet cause the least damage to the plants, animals and their habitat.

Handy tips on Camp
Burn all paper products like toilet paper, cigarette butts, non plastic and non foil wrappers in a safe place
Do not use detergents and strong chemicals.
Bury all food wastes and human wastes away from the wetlands
Do not throw any plastic, tin can or batteries, take them back to Leh for proper disposal.
Use solar energy for lighting

The Rules on Camp
Do not drive off track. It damages pasturelands
Do not camp just anywhere. Camping in non designated sites is illegal.
Do not disturb the animals. Even for a picture.
Do not pluck flowers and leaves. They look best on the plant.
Do not pollute. Take your garbage back.
Capture wildlife only in camera. They stay with you forever.
Enjoy local hospitality. They give you the best with the least resources.
Carry a notebook and a pen. Record what you see.
Learn and respect local ethics and culture. Take back memories to cherish.
Leave the camp in its natural state. Encourage helpers to follow rules.

Follow the guidelines. Urge others to follow.

DESTINATION PANGONG TSO with Silk Route Adventure
Day 01-Leh Arrival.You arrive Leh after a wonderful experienced flight over the Himalayas. SilkRoute Adventure representatives will welcome and receive you from the airport and transfer you to your Hotel. We expect you to rest for the whole day so as to acclimatize after the morning tea and coffee. Evening time, we drive to Shanti Stupa and see an overview of Leh city.Overnight Hotel

Day 2-Leh/Magnetic Hill/Pathar Sahib/Sangam.After breakfast drive to visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, magical Magnetic Hill, the Sangam (confluence) of Zanskar and Indus river. Overnight Hotel .

Day 03-Leh - Pangong lake Today after early breakfast , start your drive to Pangong lake via Thiksay monastery and SheyPalace. Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you awestruck . Spent your afternoon enjoying the beauty of Pangong lake and check in at lake side camp. Overnight Camp

Day 04-Pangong/LehAfter breakfast drive back to Leh. Overnight hotel Day 05-Flight to DelhiMorning transfer to airport to fly Delhi with sweet memories of Ladakh!
