I would like to alert one sensitive subject
Nowadays a gang is active and especially
they are from Delhi.
For those who have their hotels or homestays, such a gang is targeting them.
Base your advertisement on social media, or even a platform like booking. Com or other platforms they will send you a message via platform or by whatsApp
They will inquire about room booking and ask for a package or charge
Once you answer them, they will mostly confirm 2 night booking and 2 rooms
This is their standard modas Operandy
Then will ask for google pay upi
Now story starts
If for example, you have quoted 20000 charges and ask for booking amount worth 5000 , they will immediately send you a message of payment done of rs. 50000 and then will call you that by mistake they have paid more and they will demand difference money back
Now here
1. No such payment will be there
2. This is a flash payment and do not trust even you get message and screen shot by them
3. Check your bank account immediately and i am sure payment will not be deposited in account
4. Such people will keep calling you again and again on whatsApp, but don't reply there. Call by normal voice call and record the phone
5. Just say one thing, let money come to my account then one you will reach at hotel I will return the difference amount
I already had an experience and luckily I am coming from social media strategy business background so I could have managed.
I have their recording and screenshot as a proof and when I checked their phone details, the location and sim card details found of Delhi. So far I have received 4 such scammers call
