Rohtang Pass connects Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh, India. Distance between Manali to Rohtang Pass by Road is 51 Kms.

Rohtang Pass serves as a base for several trekking routes that take you through picturesque valleys and meadows. The popular treks include the trek to Bhrigu Lake, Hampta Pass, and Chandratal Lake.

Due to heavy snowfall in winters, the pass remains closed from November to April. Rohtang Pass remains flocked with excited visitors from all over the country and abroad until October as it shuts again. It is said to be the only pass in the country to be covered by snow throughout the year.

If you are looking for snow at the pass then the best time would be late April and early June, there are giant walls of snow on either side. Post June, the snow starts to reduce and is found only towards the top of the Pass.
