“My name is Volker and I am a motorbike rider from Perth Western Australia.
So far, I have done two adventure rides with Himalayan Challenges and I must say both of them were absolutely EPIC. The first one was from Manali to Leh via Spiti Valley and Lake Mori while the second one was a round trip from Manali via Saachi Pass, Srinagar, Leh, Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, and Zanskar Valley back to Manali.
What sets Himalayan Challenges apart from all other tour companies is their meticulous planning, professional attitude and warm and friendly personalities. You will not find a more personal and experienced team than Disha, Prakash and all their crew.
Himalayan Challenges took our group to out of the way places which other tour companies don’t even know about and even customized our trip to suit our dream destinations.
With unpredictable weather and abhorrent road conditions in the Himalayan mountains, including swollen rivers, mudslides and washed away bridges adventure rides do not always go as planned but Disha and Prakash were always well prepared with a plan B (or C or D) and got us somehow to the next destination, even if it took us many 100km and a few days out of our way.
Riding in the Himalayas is not always easy due to suicidal bus and truck drivers and difficult (to say the least) terrain but the bikes we were riding were all immaculately maintained and in top conditions. Prakash’s crew, consisting of a support vehicle and driver with spare parts and extra fuel (which also took our luggage during the day), a mechanic and a marshal, who always rode at the end to ensure no one is left behind made me feel as safe as you can possibly be on rides like this.
Needless to say, I highly recommend Disha, Prakash and Himalayan Challenges for any adventure trip in northern India, be it for a few days around Manali, the classic trip from Manali to Leh, the three-week Great Himalayan Expedition or a custom arranged tour for your personal needs and wants. I am also very excited about their latest addition The Nepal Circuit from Kathmandu, Nepal to Lhasa, Tibet via the northern Everest Base Camp.”
