"The Chanshal Pass"

The Chanshal pass also known as Chanshal valley, located about 160kms from Shimla is one of the places which best serves the nomadic appetite of the otherwise shackled young brigade tired of the monotonous dawn to dusk schedules throughout the week. This place will definitely be better than a weekend spent doing rounds at the bar and you wouldn’t end up burning a hole in your pocket. This is more like an extended weekend getaway which will leave you with memories to last.

The Valley sits on top of Chanshal peak which is the highest point of Shimla town. It is situated at height of 3750 Mtrs. The Chanshal Pass is a link (75Km) which connects Rohru & Dodra Kwar. The Chanshal Peak, which is the highest & best point of visit, is located at a distance of 50Km from Rohru. The valley is one of the best places for bike ride. Roads are steep and tough to drive.

Sarchu : 230 km distance from Manali To Sarchu
Located on the Manali – Leh highway and surrounded by the Himalayan range is a beautiful region called Sarchu. Locally known as ‘Sir Bhum Chum’, it is a perfect destination for camping and overnight stay, you can enjoy a night’s sleep amidst a treasure trove of scenery.

At an altitude of 14300 feet, expect the winds to be cooler than usual, but refreshing nevertheless! You are encompassed by picture-perfect scenic quotients. The sight of the majestic mountains overlooking you from a distance is equally thrilling; the experience is inexplicable and surreal.

It is locally known as Khyipur, one of the highest villages in the world at an altitude of 4205 m above sea level in a narrow valley surrounded by mountains from all sides. Rest houses are available for the visitors. Gette, at a short distance away from Kaza, is the highest village in the world at a height of 4270 m.

At an altitude of 4300 metres and 6 k.m. from the Kunzum Pass in Lahaul & Spiti district that connects Spiti Chander Tal Lake and Lahaul areas.

Surrounded by snows and acres of scree, this deep blue-water lake has a circumference of 2.5 k.m. This is the source of the river Chandra. According to some believers, this is the spot from where the god Indra's chariot took the eldest Pandava brother, Yudhishtra to 'swarga' (heaven) in his mortal form.

BIJLI MAHADEV KULLU
The Bijli Mahadev is known as one of the sacred temples located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Kullu valley. The Bijli Mahadev temple got its name as people believe that the blessings come to this temple in the form of lightning. People say that the priest of the temple restores the Shiv lings every year with butter and sattoo, as every time lightning strikes the Shivlinga, the Shivlinga is shattered to pieces.

Arjun Gufa
Manali in Himachal is one of the Major Tourist attractions for Travellers and with in Manali Arjun Gufa is one of the major attractions for tourists. It is Located 5 km away from Manali town towards Naggar. Pandav Arjun mediated here. The nearest village to the Arjuna Gufa is the village of Prini meant for the scenic beauty.
The Arjuna Gufa is linked to the legend of Mahabharata. There is a prevalent belief that it isArjun Gufa in Manali in these caves near the Prini Village that Arjuna, one of the Pandava brothers, performed his penance and meditated as a result of which he succeeded in acquiring the Pashupata Ashtra or the weapon from the Hindu Lord Indra. It is because of this belief that the Arjuna Gufa or the Cave of Arjuna got its name. At approximately 2 kms. - a visible lake called Kunt Bhayo lake and a Kunti Mata Temple is located.

Baralacha La : Distance between Manali To Baralacha la 191 km.

Folklore states that there were two lovers, Chandra being the daughter of the Moon and Bhaga the son of the Sun god. To perform their eternal marriage, they decided to climb to the Bara-lacha-la and from there they ran in opposite directions. Chandra being active and smart, easily found her way and reached Tandi after covering the distance of 115 km (71 mi). Soon Bhaga was found coming with great struggle through the narrow gorges to Tandi, where consequently both met and the celestial marriage was performed. Bhaga covered about 60 km (37 mi) distance, which was very difficult.[6]

Baralachala means summit with cross roads from Spiti, Ladakh, Zanskar and Lahaul meet here and in ancient times it was part of a trade route. On the North West lies the Bhaga River while the Chandra flows South East. Near below the Baralacha-la is having a beautiful emerald lake the Suraj tal (Sun lake), the source of the river Bhaga.
