Pangong Tso (Tibetan: སྤང་གོང་མཚོ, Wylie: spang gong mtsho; Hindi: पांगोंग त्सो; Chinese: 班公错; pinyin: Bāngōng Cuò), Tibetan for "long, narrow, enchanted lake", also referred to as Pangong Lake, is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies in Tibet. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. It is not part of Indus river basin area and geographically a separate land locked river basin.[3]

The lake is in the process of being identified under the Ramsar Convention as a wetland of international importance. This will be the first trans-boundary wetland in South Asia under the convention.

Riding in Leh is something which can never be explained. How much ever you might prepare yourself, in the end it will turn out to be insufficient. You might spend months in reading and getting to know about the whole journey, but in the end Leh will always end up surprising you. It is truly a magical journey. The ride to reach leh in itself will test your will and riding skills. It will really connect you with your bike. It will teach you the true meaning of trust, as it will just be you and your bike.
As you enter Leh covering one of the routes, the happiness that engulfs you is majestic. You start smiling without any reason. During season, the sound of all the Bullets revving around in the streets of Leh, will surely give you the feeling of being in the Mecca of bikers.
And the moment when you reach atop Khardungla, that would be moment when everything else in your life seems irrelevant. And then you have the ride to Pangong Tso, easily the most comforting lake in the world. Just sitting around the edge of that lake, knowing you are on your own, opens us a whole new side of you.
In short, its not just a ride. It's a enriching experience which really connects you to your innerself.

Prashar Lake lies 49 km north of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India, with a three storied pagoda-like temple dedicated to the sage Prashar. The lake is located at a height of 2730 m above sea level. With deep blue waters, the lake is held sacred to the sage Prashar and he is regarded to have meditated there. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and looking down on the fast flowing river Beas, the lake can be approached via Drang.

The temple was built in the thirteenth century and legend has it was built by a baby from a single tree. The lake has a floating island in it and it is said to be unclear how deep it is, with a diver not being able to determine its depth
