CATHOLIC PILGRIMAGE SRI LANKA
Day 01: AIRPORT/NEGOMBO/ KANDY
Arrive at the Airport. Meet, assist and transfer to Negombo. ( 20 minutes drive)
Visit the St. Mary's Grand Church in Negombo the most prominent Church,
Proceed to a Restaurant for Lunch
After lunch proceed to Kandy
Drive Takes about 3 hours.
Arrive Kandy and visit the
St. Anthony's Cathedral in Kandy
Continue to DEVON HOTEL or similar for dinner and overnight
Day 02: KANDY/ NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at Hotel
Visit the FATIMA CHURCH IN Kandy and visit the city, upper lake drive, Market.
Proceed to Nuwara eliya.
On the way visit a Tea Factory/estate and waterfalls.
Lunch at a restaurant
Arrive Nuwara eliya and visit the Sr. Francis Xaviour church in Nuwara eliya
The church was established on 23 October 1838. It is believed that the church has been built in a land allotted by Governor Torrington
Visit the city of Nuwara eliya
Dinner and overnight at the Stamford Hotel or similar
DAY 03; NUWARA ELIYA/COLOMBO
Breakfast at Hotel and leave for Colombo
Lunch on the way
Visit the BASILICA CHURCH IN Ragama built to pay a wow made during the 2nd world war not to harm the people of Sri Lanka from Japanese invasions.
Continue to Colombo
Proceed to visit the ST. LUCIAS CATHEDRAL THE BIGGEST in Sri Lanka
Visit the city of Colombo.
Dinner at a Indian Restaurant
Overnight at the HOTEL SAPPHIRE or similar
DAY 04: COLOMBO/AIRPORT
Breakfast at Hotel
Proceed to visit the famous St. Anthonys shrine in Colombo where the 21 april easter sunday attack was staged
Now the church is fully restored. This is one of the most MIRACULOUS churches in Sri Lanka. People from all religions pay respect to this church on every Tuesday where more than 200,000 people come to this church from all walks of life
