Purushottam Maas is a rare and sacred month named after Purushottam — the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Krishna. During this holy month, even small devotional practices performed with sincerity can bring profound spiritual transformation. Because this month is named after Purushottam, it is considered the most powerful time for purification. It is said that any spiritual activity — be it chanting, fasting, charity, hearing hari-katha, or devotional seva — performed during this month yields thousands of times more spiritual benefit than at any other time of the year.
