Call it a calamity if you want, but what’s happening in North Bengal is really Nature hitting “Reply All” to our reckless mails of abuse — deforestation, construction of railways, hill-cutting, unplanned buildings, and blind “development”, as they call it. We thought she’d never check her inbox, but now the floods, landslides, broken bridges and stranded tourists are her sharpest replies. And trust me, her responses come far quicker than government promises! 🌲🌊🌧️

Maybe it’s time we learn that real development isn’t in cutting hills or choking rivers, but in learning to live with Nature, not against her. Because the longer we keep spamming, the harsher her replies will get. 🌍

একসময় কলা বিক্রি করে সংসার চালাতেন।ঘরে ছিল স্ত্রী আর একমাত্র ছেলে।সংসার ভালো মতনই চলছিল চিরঞ্জিত সেনগুপ্তর।হঠাৎই ছন্দপতন।স্ত্রী হৃদরোগে মা*রা যাওয়ার পরই একমাত্র ছেলে হৃদরোগে মা*রা যান।আর তাঁর ক্যা*ন্সার ধরা পড়ে।কোনদিকে যাবে ভেবে উঠতে না পেরে একসময় আ*ত্মহ*ত্যা করবেন বলে ঠিক করেন।এরপর তিনি ভাবেন ছেলে বউ তো চলে গেছে তাহলে তাঁর নাতনিকে কে দেখবে?তিনি আজ অসুস্থ শরীর নিয়ে রাস্তায় রাস্তায় সাহায্য চেয়ে বেড়াচ্ছেন।দুর্গাপুজোতে ভিড়ে পা রাখার জায়গা নেই হাতিবাগানে, আর সেই জায়গায় বিনোদিনী সিনেমা হলের সামনে দেখা গেল হাতে বাটি নিয়ে পা ঘষতে ঘষতে লাঠি নিয়ে হাঁটছেন এক বৃদ্ধ। মহাচতুর্থীর রাতে এমনই দৃশ্য দেখা গেল।যেখানে দেবী দুর্গাকে দেখতে লক্ষ লক্ষ দর্শনার্থীরা নতুন জামা পরে ঘুরছেন সেখানে এই প্রৌঢ় মানুষের কাছে সাহায্য চেয়ে বেড়াচ্ছেন।পরিস্থিতি কার কখন কোন দিকে যাবে সত্যিই কেউ বলতে পারে না।

আজ উদ্বোধন হয়ে যাচ্ছে ইস্ট ওয়েস্ট মেট্রোর সেক্টর ফাইভ থেকে হাওড়া ময়দান মেট্রো পরিষেবা।
শিয়ালদহ থেকে হাওড়া মেট্রো মাত্র 20 টাকা ভাড়া। মাত্র কুড়ি টাকায় শিয়ালদা থেকে মেট্রো চেপে নেমে আবার হাওড়াতে গিয়ে ট্রেন ধরুন।
আনুমানিক আজ সন্ধ্যে ছটার পর থেকে শুরু হয়ে যাচ্ছে পরিষেবা। সপ্তাহের সাত দিন চলবে এলাইনে মেট্রো।

আগামী 22শে আগস্ট শুক্রবার মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি জি উদ্বোধন করবেন এসপ্ল্যানেড শিয়ালদহ মেট্রো ( গ্রিন লাইন)। এই রুট চালু হলেই সহজে হাওড়া থেকে শিয়ালদহ রেল স্টেশন যাওয়া যাবে। এছাড়াও প্রধানমন্ত্রী আরো দুটো মেট্রো উদ্বোধন করবেন যেমন নোয়াপাড়া - বিমানবন্দর ,হেমন্ত মুখোপাধ্যায় - বেলেঘাটা।
