Wishing everyone happiness and joy on the occasion of Gudi Padwa!

Gudi Padwa, the first day of the month of Chaitra, is a celebration of spring and the beginning of the harvest season. Trees are decked up with beautiful blossoms, birds and bees buzz about merrily, and tiny raw mangoes have begun to peek out from under the foliage. Soon they will grow to the full size we are all accustomed to and their fragrance will fill the air when they ripen.

Featured here is a Palash tree in full bloom. Also known as "Flame of the forest", its flowers are bright red and succulent and in such profusion that the ground below is carpeted with red, making it a delightful sight. This tree is found in abundance all over Konkan region, and has multiple uses in the daily life of the people.

Come to Alibaug, and take a slow cycle ride to enjoy everything the season and the countryside has to offer!

New ride: Delights of Alibaug!

We have listened to your feedback, and improved the one day cycle ride to make it snappier, and more fun!

This new ride is just about 7 km along empty rural roads, next to paddy fields, beaches and lakes! And to top it all, it passes through tree cover most of the most of the time to keep you from the sun!

Add to that delicious Konkani style breakfast and lunch, and you have the perfect weekend picnic with family and friends!
