The Tunda Bhuj trek encompasses everything - walking through rivers, waterfalls, holding on to dear life on narrow walkways, apple orchards – you name it.  If you’re a regular hiker then this one is a dream to do. One of the most beautiful treks, so picturesque that you feel an impulse to reach for your camera or pinch yourself hard to make sure it’s real.

The amazing landscapes, waterfalls and the alpine meadows are bound to make you stop and feel it and soak it in!

The weather seems pleasent and so are we ready to make a move.

Shamshi Thach, dazzling yet beautiful. This immensely dramatic place is based in the Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh.

Laying at an altitude of 3850meters is said to be one of the base camp for Sara Umga pass & Animal pass.

To reach here, one has to start all the way from Tosh Village which is also said to be the last hamlet in Parvati Valley. It takes approx 18kms walk with a perfect rush & rugged trail filled with lush green forest of pine trees, waterfalls & apple orchards.

Not just that once your closer and the tree range is to the end, you get to experience some medicinal trees and plants on route.

🧚‍♂️ Who wouldn’t want to dive into the myriad of colors dissipated by the sparkling fireflies? Come June, head to Rajmachi Fireflies Festival where you get to celebrate the beautiful and vibrant colors of nature amidst glowing fireflies.

🧞‍♂️ In June, millions of fireflies come out in the open and create a fascinating spectacle for the onlookers. Fireflies are actually not flies but beetles with glowing abdomens. Over 2000 species of fireflies can be spotted in the woods of Rajmachi.

🧚 The wonderful creatures dissipate light to attract the opposite s*x. Male fireflies send signals in the form of distinct patterns of flashing light and females respond to them in their own way of signaling. The exchange of light creates a spellbinding phenomenon for the onlookers. The flies live long enough to mate and lay eggs and eventually they die.
