Led by our expert naturalist , we explored the serene Shilonda Trail of SGNP on a cool early morning.
From spotting sambar and Spotted deer, macaques, and langurs on our way in, to walking through lush forest full of bird calls, butterflies, and hidden microfauna the trail was alive in every corner.

The kids learned to identify butterflies by colours and patterns, and birds by their unique calls. Along the way, we found signature spiders, garbage-line spiders, drongos, egrets and so much more.

Our walk ended at the gentle Shilonda stream, home to tiny fishes and dancing water skaters a perfect spot to pause and soak in nature.

A refreshing weekend getaway filled with learning, laughter, and a deeper understanding of coexistence and the lesser-known wildlife around us. 🌿✨

Last weekend, we had a Stream Walk event in Goregaon,
in a lush green forest where we spotted different types of insects, did some birdwatching, and saw many butterflies and moth caterpillars along the way. We all clicked photos using mobile macro lenses and spent time by the stream. The highlight was Sneha spotting a flower mantis. During the trail, we heard a gray langur's alarm call twice, indicating a big cat nearby. We all bid each other farewell with happy faces.
