We should be proud to know that India accounts to almost 70% of the Tiger Population in the World and at the same time be aware to set an example to the rest of the world, that a billion people can co-exist with this magnificent animal by the right conservation actions and awareness.

Join this February 2023 for this unique wildlife expedition in search of " Ghost of Himalayas "

Very few journeys in life can truly be described as “MAGNIFICENT.” A quest to see a Snow Leopard in its natural habitat is one such expedition. Exceedingly scarce, exquisitely beautiful, the 'Ghost of the Himalayas' is also the most elusive of the big cats. To sight one requires exploring some of the most remote, rugged and scenically stunning terrain of the Hemis National Park in Ladakh. It is at this time that this predator moves down to lower altitudes in search of their prey while we search for them through our spotting scopes, binoculars and camera lenses.

This is a journey to experience something rare, almost a pilgrimage in the world of wildlife.

Jungle Lore once again brings to you, one of its most exciting travel opportunities featuring the Ghost of the Himalayas, the elusive Snow Leopard expedition. During the winters when the peaks are covered with snow, the ghost descends to lower and more approachable altitudes in and around the Hemis National Park. Though a Snow Leopard sighting and trek on Frozen river ( chadar Trek) will be the highlight of the trip, Hemis hosts a lot more in terms of wildlife diversity. Ranging from Himalayan Blue Sheep, Red Fox, Tibetan Wolf and an exquisite variety of bird life
