The first light of dawn slowly unveils the timeless beauty of Nigeen Lake. As the mist lifts and the water mirrors the waking sky, the world seems to pause for a few precious moments.

This is how another day begins in Kashmir—wrapped in peace, the cacophony of parakeets piercing through the silence, and a sense of calm that’s becoming increasingly rare.

Some places don’t ask you to do anything. They simply invite you to be.

Keep Wandering. 💜

Okavango Delta, Botswana experiences a rare huge flood from Jun – Sep.
Every year.
Stunning landscapes, concentrated wildlife, adventure memories for life.
Luxury has a new meaning here. Defined by time and space.
And the silence or sounds of the jungle.
Memories are not just created here. They are carved as you take a boat cruise to spot partially submerged bull elephants eating water lilies, or hear the roar of a lion reverberate across the delta or enjoy a 6-course small-plate interactive dining experience with the chef under the watchful eyes of a resident hippo.

Not every lake demands your attention. Some quietly earn it.

Wular Lake, nestled at the foothills of the majestic Haramukh Mountain, is the second-largest freshwater lake in Asia. Spanning nearly 200 sq. km., it has shaped the ecology, livelihoods, and landscape of Kashmir for centuries.

Stand by its shores and you’ll notice something remarkable—its mood changes with the light, the wind, and the seasons. No two visits are ever quite the same.

Visit between November and February, and the lake transforms into a sanctuary for migratory birds arriving from Siberia and Central Asia, making it one of Kashmir’s finest birdwatching destinations.

Just a 90-minute drive from Srinagar, Wular isn’t about ticking off another sightseeing spot. It’s about slowing down, watching nature unfold, and discovering a quieter side of Kashmir that many travellers miss.

Sometimes, the most memorable journeys are the ones that ask you to simply pause.

Silhouette, sunset, pose and panorama. Memories that define , a unique wildlife habitat in the Pali district of . It boasts of one of the highest leopard densities in the world.
The Jawai Bandh Leopard Conservation Reserve, is a fascinating landscape comprising villages, agricultural land, the Jawai bandh (dam) and the distinctive rocky outcrops of giant boulders and caves (part of ancient granite formations of the Aravalli range), where the leopards co-exist with the local Rabari pastoralists.

Jawai is open throughout the year. So, if you get the wildlife itch during the rainy season, hop on to a flight to Udaipur and drive 3hrs (a scenic drive during the rains) to Jawai.

The Wanderers can plan all this for you including your stay, safaris, daylong hikes to hidden streams and waterfalls, sundowners, interaction with a shepherd family.

Combine this with a beautiful homestay in the outskirts of Udaipur learning Rajasthani cooking or indulging in long walks and birding with an Army veteran. Or you could just curl up in a sofa and finish writing that long pending "note to myself" with a cup of coffee.

Jawai and Udaipur: Places that will help you reframe your thoughts.

There are places you visit, and places you truly live in.

For four slow days, Lake Khuvsgul was the latter. We wandered through pine forests, stretched out on soft grass, and watched the lake shift from glassy dawns to dramatic evenings.

No rush, no checklist—just time in one of Mongolia’s most pristine landscapes.

If Mongolia is on your list, don’t just pass through Lake Khuvsgul. Stay awhile. Some places reveal themselves only when you linger.

Located in the windswept valley of the Kali Gandaki River, Kagbeni and it’s surroundings is renowned for its unique, moon-like Himalayan landscape.
Kagbeni is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Hindu pilgrims visit to perform Pitri-Puja or Shraddha—rituals at the river confluence meant to help departed ancestors achieve Moksha.
It’s a prime spot to find a Shaligram (sacred ammonite fossils highly revered in Hinduism) and is just 15kms before Muktinath, one of the highest Hindu temples in the world dedicated to Lord Vishnu (worshipped by Buddhists as Avalokitesvara).

This is Holy ground. As sacred a place as any in the Himalayas.

Because the best journeys don’t end when you return—they become part of who you are.

Don’t go after the big names all the time. Millions have been there before.
Instead, take a road that suddenly shows up in your GPS, & as you drive down that road, you get a feeling that an extraordinary view awaits you.
& then the network disappears and the gps stops working.
Maybe today is your day. Seize the lesser known path!
