Here’s a sneak peek of our recent trip to Spiti & Kinnaur with 12 people from different walks of life, ohh no wait 14 how can we not include Bantu & Kuldeeep Bhaiya. Starting day 1 with a delay of 5hrs, all credits to a cancelled flight, still that didn’t dampen our Spirit. Those long bumpy rides through amazing landscapes, crazy water crossings, debating on Chaos theory, Shivji, Mahabarath, Ramayan and what not, more than made up for everything. Goose bump worthy horror stories at 2 am, to doing a Misadventure trek to Chandrataal. Impromptu Astro photographers mesmerised by the shooting stars, star gazing at Kaza, drooling over the Milky way galaxy till 3am. Enjoying Arak (local brewery made from barley) at a local home stay & getting traumatized every day by “Halloo Fraaands”, concluded our 10 days of madness in the brown Valley isolated from chaos & stress.

The trail from Auli to Gorson Bugyal is one of the easiest treks in the Garhwal Himalayan region with alphine meadows and is a treat to the eyes.

The journey is further enriched by the whispering beauty, flurry of colours and majestic view of the Nanda Devi massif. The array of Himalayan trees like Deodar and Oak is a sight to behold.

Nonetheless, the gentle slopes of Auli, during the winters, when blanketed with snow, turn into a popular skiing destination and woo the skiers.

Travel with Sid to one of the still unexplored and insanely beautiful stretch of the Indian Himalayas.

Traversing Spiti and Kinnaur valley is as much a journey within as it is without. We will be traveling to Spiti via Kinnaur called the Hindustan – Tibet Highway. Recognized by Lonely Planet as the “World’s most adventurous road.” This highway is a beautiful and scenic drive that takes you through the green valley of Kinnaur into the brown and white Spiti valley.

Kinnaur Valley is a land of mountain villages with slate-roffed temples, vast apple orchards, plunging gorges between towering snow-capped peaks, and hair-raising roads and beyond it lies Spiti. Valley of stark landscapes, high snowy peaks stretching to the sky, gurgling rivers, crystal lakes and rise to one of world’s highes motorable roads.

Hello folks, I've been getting quite lot of enquiry about my next trip. So here it is, the next adventure is set for Spiti & Kinnaur Valley.

One of the still unexplored & insanely beautiful stretch of the Indian Himalayas. This journey is a beautiful & scenic drive that takes you through the lush green valley of Kinnaur into the brown and white heaven called Spiti Valley.

Date :- 15th - 24th June

Duration:- 10 Days / 9 Nights

Activities we shall be venturing in:-

- Trek to Dhankar lake. (Some trekking is no harm after all)

- Joy of Star Gazing. (Lazing around to Star Gazing)

- Camping at Chandratal lake. (What's an adventure with no Camping)

- Visit the Mummy village of Giu (Yes, we do have mummies in India)

- Click a picture with a Lama (Have you ever done that?)

- Fossil Hunting at Langza. (Try your luck on finding some)

- Sending postcard from world's highest post office @ Hikkim.

- Experience Humble homestay at Lhalung (Enjoying it the local way)

- Meditate at Key / Tabo monastery (Where you shall be at peace)

- Shopping at Kaza. (Carry an extra bag to load those goodies & artifacts)

- Admire the floura & fauna in the Pin Valley national park. (Getting close to nature)

- Visit the last inhabitated village Chitkul (Getting a tick off the bucket list😉)

- Admire the Kinner Kailash peak at Kalpa.(Admiring the best Himalaya's has to offer)

-While the action happens, we shall chill by the Spiti river at every opportunity. 😉
