It's time to celebrate the kings and queens of the wild. đź‘‘ Today is International Tiger Day. With over 3,600 tigers in India, conservation efforts are working, but the journey continues.
International Tiger Day is celebrated on July 29 because it marks the date of the historic Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit held in Russia in 2010.
Leaders gathered in Russia to address the fast drop in wild tiger numbers...Countries agreed to work together to stop poaching and save habitats...July 29 was chosen as an annual event to keep the focus on saving tigers.
