A PROUD MOMENT!

Embarq’s All-women Kutch to Kibithoo is now recognised by the India Book of Record as the largest convoy driven by women from the westernmost to the easternmost point of India.

Starting from the salt flats of Kutch to the far eastern edge of Kibithoo, an all-women convoy covered over 4,500+ KMS across the breadth of the country passing through highways, terrains, and long-distance stretches over the course of the expedition. What made it significant was the consistency of the drive, especially the final leg brought the convoy into Walong, near the India–China border, across terrain which was difficult to traverse with narrow mountain roads, sharp turns, and conditions that needed precision behind the wheel.

Leaving the open desert highways behind, the convoy continued its journey across changing landscapes towards Rajasthan with
thirty drivers leading the expedition forward, with Citroën and Jeep travelling alongside as travel partners on the road.

The journey has begun.

The convoy rolled out of Bhuj for the first leg of the expedition across the vast salt desert of Kutch, including the remarkable Dholavira–Khavda Highway, known as the Road to Heaven.

Powered by Citroën, co-powered by Jeep India, we have 12 cars and 30 women forging their way on the first chapter of this journey.

The wait is over.

Kutch to Kibithoo begins on one of India’s most striking highways. The drive begins in Bhuj, crossing the Dholavira–Khavda stretch, often referred to as the Road to Heaven, before the route starts to change.

Salt deserts give way to the hills of Mount Abu. The plains of North India follow, with long highway days through historic cities and changing food cultures. Further east, the terrain shifts again into river valleys, forest corridors, and finally the high-altitude mountain roads leading to Kibithoo.

Over the next few weeks, this convoy will travel through various parts of India, experiencing its diverse landscapes, regional cuisines, and different languages.

8th to 25th March.

This year brings five distinct international self-drive expeditions. Each route has been mapped end to end and structured into clear legs before the convoy sets out across mountain highways, coastal stretches, historic routes, Arctic terrain, and more.

This June, a convoy of women will be driving through Romania, one of Europe’s least-explored road trip destinations, across mountain passes, medieval towns, forest routes, and quiet countryside that still feels untouched by mass tourism.

The route starts in Bucharest, and then takes us through Sibiu, Cund, Sighișoara, Viscri, Brașov, Bran, and the Transfăgărășan Highway, with scenic landscape along the way. We’ll be staying in carefully chosen heritage properties, visiting UNESCO-listed villages, and driving routes our team has already mapped and tested.

It’s nine days of slow travel, long stretches of beautiful road, good food, and a group of women who enjoy discovering places this way.

Last year, our drive from Kashmir to Kanyakumari brought together women from different cities, different backgrounds, all choosing to spend weeks on the road together. There were playlists on repeat, shared meals, late-night conversations, and friendships that are still going strong. Swipe through to read what that journey meant to the women who were part of it.

And now, we’re getting ready to set out once more.
This March, we’ll be driving from Kutch to Kibithoo, across India, covering close to 4,800 kilometres in twenty days, from Bhuj and Dholavira to Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Itanagar, and all the way east.
We start on March 8 and return on March 28. A few seats are still open. DM us to join in.
