The Thousand Pillars Temple is among the oldest temples of South India. It has been beautifully and elaborately built with 1,000 intricately carved pillars that are so close-knit that they almost look like a wall around the temple. It is said that it took nearly 72 years to build this architectural marvel.

Located about 170 km from Diu, Palitana is famed for a large cluster of Jain temples. On your way to the Shatrunjaya Hill top from the base, you will come across as many as 836 beautiful temples. The site holds immense significance for the Jain community as it was here that the first Jain tirthankara (saint), Adinath, achieved enlightenment, making the Shatrunjay Hill a holy site for Jains.

With eye on tourists from China, India revamps policy : India is revamping its tourism strategy in China, including plans to open a full-fledged regional tourist office headed by a top bureaucrat in China, as it targets a chunk of the 50 lakh Chinese tourists who travel globally every year.

Hon. Minister of State for Culture & Tourism (I/C), Shri Prahlad Singh Patel said the government is also promoting tourism to lesser known destinations in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Kargil.

Gadsisar Lake is one of the major tourist attractions of Jaisalmer., is a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, located 575 kilometres (357 mi) west of the state capital Jaipur.
Many of the houses and temples are finely sculptured. It lies in the heart of the Thar Desert (the Great Indian Desert) and has a population of about 78,000. It is the administrative headquarters of Jaisalmer District.

Pinjore Gardens - Chandigarh
The magnificient Mughal style garden, Pinjore Garden was created in the 17th century by a great architect Nawab Fidai Khan. Khan was foster brother of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. After some time from the establishment of the beautiful garden it was neglected for so many years resulting the garden to form into a wild jungle. Then it was recreated by Yadavindra Singh a former prince of Patiala State. In recent times, the garden was renamed after the prince’s name as Yadavindra Gardens in his memory.
Every year, Baisakhi and Mango festivals are celebrated enthusiastically in the Mughal garden.
The other attractions of the Pinjore Garden are Zoo and an Open Air Museum. Zoo has been built on the side of the garden where different species of animals and birds are kept. Recently, a heritage train is introduced which gives the complete tour of Mughal garden.

Dudhsagar Falls.
Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the border of the Indian state of Goa and Karnataka.
The area is surrounded by a deciduous forests with a rich biodiversity. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the dry season but during the monsoon season however, the falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water.
